How to Transfer a Domain to EconomicalHost

Transferring your domain to EconomicalHost consolidates billing and support in one place. The process is standardised; here is what to do.

Step-by-step

  1. Check eligibility. The domain must be at least 60 days old and not recently transferred; some TLDs have their own rules.
  2. Unlock the domain at your current registrar and disable WHOIS privacy temporarily if it blocks transfer emails.
  3. Get the EPP/authorisation code from your current registrar — it authorises the move.
  4. Contact EconomicalHost (011-46563177 or support@economicalhost.com) to initiate the transfer and provide the EPP code.
  5. Approve the transfer email sent to your registrant contact address, then wait for completion (often 5–7 days, TLD-dependent).
  6. Confirm DNS and email continuity. Transfers do not change DNS by themselves — keep your records the same, or set nameservers to EconomicalHost (see nameservers).

💡 Good to know

  • Most TLD transfers add a year to your registration — you do not lose remaining time.
  • Keep your registrant email accessible — the approval message goes there.
  • EconomicalHost support guides you through each step; reach out before you start.
