How to Park a Domain in cPanel
Parking a domain points a second domain at your existing website — useful for owning multiple TLDs of your brand or catching misspellings.
Step-by-step
- Open Domains → Domains (or Aliases) in cPanel.
- Click Create a New Domain and enter the domain to park.
- Tick "Share document root" so it shows your existing main site rather than getting its own folder.
- Submit to create the alias.
- Point the parked domain's DNS at your EconomicalHost hosting (nameservers or A record) — see pointing a domain.
- Consider a redirect instead of mirroring for SEO — see domain aliases and redirects.
💡 Good to know
- For SEO, one canonical domain with a 301 redirect beats two identical mirrored sites.
- Parked domains share everything with the main site — no separate content.
- AutoSSL covers active parked domains automatically.
