How to Import Contacts into Roundcube
Moving to a new mailbox or webmail? Import your existing contacts from a CSV or vCard file so your address book comes with you.
Step-by-step
- Export contacts from your old client as a CSV or vCard (.vcf) file — most mail apps offer this.
- Log in to webmail and open the Contacts (Address Book) section.
- Click the Import icon.
- Choose your CSV or vCard file and select the destination group if offered.
- Click Import. Roundcube reports how many contacts were added.
- Review the address book to confirm names and addresses imported correctly.
💡 Good to know
- vCard (.vcf) usually preserves more fields than CSV — prefer it if available.
- You can export from Roundcube the same way to back up your contacts.
- Clean duplicates after importing if you merged several sources.
